It’s been said that music makes the world go round.  Well, the folks at Twitter must have decided that whoever said this was right.  Twitter music joins the crowded online music scene filled with folks like Spotify and Pandora.  But like everything else this social network does, we’re sure they’re going to make their mark in their own special way.

Are you in charge of your company’s Facebook for business page?  Maybe you are a social media management type managing a business’s social networks.  Either way, you can now use Facebook’s promoted posts directly from the mobile phone app.  Look for more app innovations as Facebook continues to increase its mobile marketing efforts.

Suit and Tie

Speaking of mobile apps, fans of the social network for business professionals will happy to know that the LinkedIn mobile app just introduced an update.  The reasoning behind the update was to focus more on stories and status updates while also making their mobile application more visually appealing and engaging.  Some “social media experts” are murmuring that the real reason was to prepare the LinkedIn mobile application for ads.


The majority of you reading this blog post can skip this snippet of news.  Why?  Well, because we are going to talk about Google+.  This social network may not be the most popular but it comes with many important tools and it’s backed by Google.  In what seems like a feature you would have already expected to be active, the company recently announced that, “YouTube accounts and channels can be linked to Google+ pages.”

Home Sweet Home

Well, the existence of Facebook Home certainly isn’t news.  However, it is news that the new Facebook-centric UI for Android phones is now – by the time you are reading this post – available outside of the United States.  Will Facebook Home become a game-changer for the social network?  We’ll have to wait and see.
