How to set up a Facebook Interest List

Did you know that only around 16% of your fans are seeing your posts, even less if you page doesn’t have great engagement.

Generally even less if your demographic lends itself to using facebook on a mobile device…

Facebook has recently released interest lists not unlike Twitter lists

Facebook says “Interest lists are an optional way to organize the content you’re interested in on Facebook. You can create your own interest lists based on the things you care about, or subscribe to other people’s lists. For example, you could create a Top Indie Bands list that features bands’ Pages and public updates from band members.

When you create or subscribe to a list, you’ll see the best posts from that list in your main news feed. Your lists will also appear in the Interests section of your bookmarks. Simply click the list’s name to see all the recent posts and activity from the Pages and people featured in the list, without overwhelming your main news feed.”

Step 1.

You’ll notice the interest list under groups in the side menu of your home page, click “Add Interests”

Step 2.

Enter the interest that you are looking for, or subscribe to one of the open pre existing lists

Step 3.

Click next and begin to add people to your list (we might just be impatient but this screen took a long time to load)

Step4.

Start building your list, think about who you enjoy reading when it comes to your daily dose of information, inspiration, motivation and just flat out interesting news.

This is really interesting for businesses that are in the micro niche space, it’s an awesome opportunity to take your niche into the global space.

near our name. In the drop-down menu select “ADD TO INTEREST LISTS”. Then create an interest list (and make a name for your favourite sites). When you select that interest list you will see ALL of our posts and you won’t miss anything important!We recommend that you follow the above instructions for ANY Facebook page you care about, so you can continue seeing all the posts from the pages you love.
